Supporting Suffolk – Road to Success Programme
Optima UK Ltd, the official training partner for Babergh District Council and Mid Suffolk District Council, is proud to deliver the Supporting Suffolk – Road to Success programme.
This innovative 12-week Local Skills, Employment & Mental Health support programme is designed to support individuals aged 18+ who are either employed or classified as economically inactive, helping them overcome barriers to employment and ensuring they stay in work or move closer to employment.
What’s Involved?
As part of this fully funded programme, participants will benefit from:
Six Bi-Weekly One-to-One Coaching Sessions
These personalised sessions are tailored specifically to the individual’s needs and are designed to help participants overcome personal barriers, improve mental health and wellbeing, and work towards their employment goals.
Access to Weekly Group Workshops
In addition to one-on-one coaching, participants can attend a variety of workshops. Topics may include coping strategies, mental health management, motivation, resilience, employability skills, and goal setting. These workshops are delivered both in-person and virtually, offering flexible learning options.
How It Works
Referral
Individuals are referred to the programme through multiple channels such as job centres, the NHS, and charities and businesses within Babergh and Mid Suffolk. Once referred, Optima UK will make contact within 5 working days to introduce the programme and schedule the first session. Residents of this area will have access to the services from August 2024 until March 2025.
Personalised Action Plan
Each participant works with their coach to develop a tailored action, wellbeing, or career plan to suit their personal goals and circumstances.
Bi-Weekly One-to-One Coaching
Participants will engage in six bi-weekly, one-hour coaching sessions. These sessions are designed to build confidence, address challenges, and support progress.
Group Workshops
Participants can attend weekly workshops that tackle essential themes. From mental health and wellbeing to employability and resilience, providing holistic support throughout the journey.
Final Review and Progression Plan
At the end of the 12 weeks, participants will have a final session to celebrate their success, finalise their progression plan, and outline next steps. Following consent from the individual the plan will be shared where applicable for continued guidance and ongoing support if required.
Hybrid Delivery Model
The programme is delivered through a hybrid model, offering a combination of face-to-face and online sessions to provide flexibility and accessibility for all participants.
