Open Call for Artists

Artist Studio & Gallery Space Available – Stowmarket, Suffolk

Stowmarket Arts CIC is excited to announce a fantastic opportunity for artists in the Stowmarket area. We are offering 3 studio spaces and 1 High Street Gallery located in Old Fox Yard, Stowmarket. This initiative is designed to support and nurture local talent, providing a space for creativity to flourish.

What’s on Offer?
• 3x Studio Spaces for creative makers. These spaces will be rent-free in exchange for your commitment to fully utilise the space, including the organisation of two events or workshops per month. Artists will be required to contribute to the costs of utilities.
• 1x High Street Gallery Space for exhibitions. (This space can be rented out by creatives who are not renting a studio space.) Please note: artists will be responsible for covering the costs of electricity and water.

We’re Looking For Artists Who:
• Can propose and organize public programming that engages with the local community, such as Open Studio Days & Workshops
• Would benefit from having affordable access to a dedicated space.
• Are looking to take the next step in their career with the support of a local creative community.
• Are within 1 hour’s travel from Stowmarket.

Priority Given To:
• Artists who cannot normally afford studio or exhibition space and are ready to grow their career.
• Artists committed to engaging with the local community through their public programming.
