New Funding for Agri-Tech Projects has launched in our area. Eastern England, including Norfolk and Suffolk, has been selected to receive up to £7.5m of new investment. This will drive local innovation and business growth, building on the region’s existing strengths in Agri-Tech, Agri-Biotech, and Food-Tech.
Innovative projects that focus on driving productivity across agriculture, horticulture and aquaculture
Under the Launchpad programme, businesses and researchers working to grow their impact in the region can apply for new funding for agri-tech projects. This will focus on funding for innovative schemes that deliver quality food production. This could be through food manufacturing and processing and creating novel food production systems.
Two competitions launched on Monday 23rd October, signalling round one of the Launchpad:
- Minimum Financial Assistance: £25,000 – £100,000 (total project costs will be funded up to 100% to the maximum grant of £100,000.
- Collaborative Research & Development: £150,000 – £300,000 (To collaborate with the project lead (business), your organisation must be a business of any size; research and technology organisation; academic institution; public sector organisation; charity; and not for profit.
