New E-Bikes Help Pedal Power Sudbury’s Green Tourism and Local Economy
Sudbury is the latest town to benefit from a new e-bike hire scheme, thanks to a partnership between Babergh District Council and Suffolk-based company EEZYBIKE. Two electric bikes are now available to hire from a solar-powered pod. This is located just off the start of the Meadow Walk/Gainsborough Trail cycle route, near to Kingfisher Leisure Centre. You can now enjoy this fun, affordable, and sustainable way to get around.
Rent, don’t buy
This green travel initiative supports a shift towards cleaner, low-carbon transport. It’s your chance to try out an e-bike without the upfront cost of owning one! Enjoy car-free access to Sudbury and nearby village’s shops, attractions, and stunning surrounding countryside. Help support your local economy and explore the Heart of Suffolk in an eco-friendly way.
Following a successful rollout in Needham Market, the scheme is part of the council’s wider ambition to promote active, sustainable travel and reduce emissions.
How to book
E-bikes can be hired for a half or full day, with bookings made easily online at the EEZYBIKE website: www.eezybike.co.uk/for-riders
