Innovation Board
Collaborating to develop innovation across the region
The Babergh and Mid Suffolk District Council Innovation Board is a collaboration between public, private and third sector agencies established to co-ordinate and facilitate a strategic approach to the growth of innovation across the Babergh and Mid Suffolk region.
The Board’s vision is to:
- Establish the area as a location demonstrating leading edge innovation, where enterprising organisations want to locate to, or expand in.
- Create an area with a high level of enterprise where jobs and skills are strengthened and encouraged.
- Further develop the area as an inspiring place offering high quality jobs and learning opportunities.

The Board discusses initiatives and programmes being developed that will support the vision as well as the infrastructure needed to support it. Successes include AI Festival, The Innovation Awards, The Virtual Highstreet, Innovate Local and Careeriosity.
