To explore this hidden past, we have created a special programme of events—a mini festival dedicated to uncovering the mysteries of Suffolk’s past. This festival is built around two distinct themes:
The Heart of Suffolk Witch Trials – Delving into the tragic stories of the men and women accused of witchcraft, the fear that swept through the region, and the impact these events had on the communities of Babergh and Mid Suffolk.
Strange but True? – A journey into the folklore, fables, and strange happenings that have shaped local storytelling, from ghostly encounters to legendary figures woven into the history of the Heart of Suffolk.
