Are you after something more relaxing and in touch with nature? If so, you’ll find all you need at Suffolk Water park. It’s a beautiful spot to sit back, relax and catch some fish.
Heart of Suffolk is a place where wildlife and nature thrives. This is home to many native animals, and rare breeds. From Nightingales to Newts, you can find out all you need to know through Suffolk Wildlife Trust. Learn which flagship species reside here, and how you can recognise them.
Another ancient woodland area that is well worth a visit for nature lovers is the RSPB Wolves Wood Nature Reserve. Near Hadleigh, a wide range of birds can be seen here all year-round. This includes nightingales nesting in the hedgerows and great spotted woodpeckers foraging high in the trees.
As an agricultural landscape we don’t fall short on farmland destinations where visitors can meet the resident animals. There is Jimmy’s Farm, Baylham Rare Breeds House Farm, and Hollow Trees Farm. You can learn about the history of farming in Suffolk while meeting some of the cutest animals!
