Stanstead Hall Farm Bed & Breakfast, Hitcham
Our 17th century farmhouse stands in peaceful countryside within a large moated site. Wonderful sunsets can be enjoyed from the south facing veranda. The farm was originally a dairy farm, but is now mainly arable with some livestock.
Dogs are accepted by arrangement for which comfortable cage facilities are available on request (regretfully, dogs are not permitted in the bedrooms). Our two completely refurbished, non-smoking double bedrooms on the first floor, each have their own shower room and overlook the large garden and grass parkland. The quiet location will ensure a good and comfortable night's sleep.
Each bedroom also has tea and coffee making facilities and a television. One double room can be turned into a family room with extra beds if required. On the ground floor there is a large dining/sitting room where a log fire is lit during winter months. Wi-Fi is available free of charge throughout the premises.
The farmhouse breakfast will give you a good start to the day, made from locally sourced ingredients. Other breakfast options are available on request. For our full English breakfast, we typically serve a choice of freshly laid farm eggs cooked in whichever style you wish, locally produced sausages and bacon etc. and of course hot buttered toast with preserves, tea and coffee.
