Heart of Suffolk Visitor Guide 2017

Hot off the press! The 2017 visitor guide for the Heart of Suffolk is now available to order and is packed full of useful information for visitors to this lovely part of Suffolk.

The eye-catching front cover is a beautiful watercolour of Old Newton near Stowmarket, painted by local artist Greta Hansen.

Inside is a directory of all the visitor attractions in the area plus details about some of the finest accommodation: luxury hotels, friendly B&Bs and cosy holiday cottages.

We are thrilled to have some really unusual holiday properties to offer visitors, including vintage train carriages and a station house which have been made into comfortable self-catering accommodation; a refurbished windmill near Lavenham with far-reaching, countryside views (and great night skies with little light pollution - perfect for stargazing); cosy glamping pods for family holidays, yurts and a magnificent, medieval barn for large groups.

There is information on Constable Country, the Shotley Peninsula; find out about the connections author Arthur Ransome had with Suffolk and keep an eye on our website for news of the upcoming festival celebrating his life and work.

We offer suggestions the best ways to get around (fancy paddling along the River Stour in a canoe, or what about an organised cycling holiday?); there is information on Suffolk's wool towns and we talk about food, crafts and the creative courses that are available.
