Project Description

The Wattisham Airfield Station Museum opened in November 1991 and is housed in the original station chapel built, buy by the USAAF in 1943.

Inside the museum you can see exhibitions relating to the history of Wattisham Station with aircraft, thumb photographs and other memorabilia.

You may also visit the museums Heritage Workshop which is in a former Cold War Hardened Aircraft Shelter (HAS) where volunteers are working on refurbishing historic aircraft.

Visits by pre-booking only please. Wattisham is an active airbase so photo ID required.
