Built in the mid-17th Century and lovingly restored in 2009, Primrose Cottage is a Grade II listed building, a romantic hideaway in the heart of Kersey which has been described as Suffolk’s prettiest hamlet. In the Middle Ages Kersey was a thriving village producing woollen yarn and over 500 people occupied the timber framed houses. Nowadays it is a peaceful place, with circa 150 people occupying many of those same houses.

Primrose Cottage is delightful and cosy and has been renovated to a high standard, perfectly mixing contemporary conveniences with historic character, including original beams and inglenook to provide a romantic retreat at any time of the year.

Enjoy the secluded south-west facing garden that can be quite magical on sunny afternoons. In the cooler months, the snug sitting room comes alive with its wood burning stove making for warm and cosy evenings. There is a good selection of games and books, plus local footpath and Ordnance Survey maps and a variety of local tourist information.

Simply enjoy being in this little beamed cottage as so many have done for well over three centuries.
