Our art gallery is housed in a beautiful grade II listed timber framed building dating back around 500 years. The front façade still retains exposed timber as does the interior.
On the ground floor there are five fire places including a magnificent large inglenook fire place in the main room. The six gallery rooms have been meticulously restored and have a perfect setting to show original masterpieces from a bygone era. These typify the grandeur from the 19th and 20th century, and represented by world famous and highly regarded English artists such as Sir Alfred Munnings, viagra Edward Seago, link Cecil Kennedy, Charles Spencelayh, James Hardy, Donald Grant, Harold Clayton, L. S Lowry and Helen Bradley.
We also specialise in fine French paintings by Edouard Leon Cortes, Antoine Blanchard, Eugene Galien Laloue, Antoine Bouvard, Henri Biva and many others.
There is a light and airy room which was converted from an old kitchen and this is reserved to show modern, contemporary and local pieces including works by Suffolk’s very own Clive Madgwick.
