Guided Walks Around Lavenham

Every weekend from Easter to the end of October, guided walks around this medieval gem of a village, Laveham, leave the tourist information centre in Lady Street at the following times:

When: Saturday at 2.30pm and Sunday at 11am. ALSO on Wednesdays at 2pm during June and July

Adults £4.50, children under 14 FREE

Sudbury Saunter

Taking place on the third Saturday of each month throughout the year, guided walks around Sudbury leave from the library in the town centre at 11am.

There is no need to book, simply turn up at the allotted hour to join the tour. Do make sure you make time to visit Gainsborough’s House afterwards. It’s a fabulous museum and was the birthplace and home of the artist Thomas Gainsborough.

When: Third Saturday each month, 11am

Price: £5 for adults | £4 for children.

The Suffolk Walking Festival

Every year there is a countywide walking festival in May with walks ranging from the leg-stretching ‘challeng walks’ to heritage walks, children’s walks and a whole range in between. Details can be found on the Suffolk Walking Festival website.
