The Museum of East Anglian Life will open a special exhibition – ‘Fields, Fabric and French Knots: Celebrating East Anglia in Stitch’ – in May 2017.
‘Fields, Fabric and French Knots’ is an exhibition of new work by members of local Embroiderers’ Guild groups in Suffolk and Essex. It will run at the Museum of East Anglian Life, Stowmarket from 1 May to 29 October 2017.
The exhibition, supported by the Big Lottery Fund’s Celebrate programme, is part of the Museum’s 50th anniversary year celebrations, marking its original public opening in 1967. Works will be displayed across the Museum’s beautiful 75-acre site and in some of the 20 historic buildings which visitors can enjoy.
