Easter at the Museum of East Anglian Life, Suffolk

The Museum of East Anglian Life will be hopping into spring with Peter Rabbit and friends over the Easter weekend. The two day family event takes place on Sunday, 16th and Monday, 17th April, with an Easter egg hunt, lamb feeding, sheepdog demonstrations and the roar of traditional farming equipment being demonstrated, as the museum springs back into life for its 50th anniversary season.

Families can enjoy having a go at some Beatrix Potter-themed craft activities, including making Flopsy sock  bunnies, Benjamin Bunny ears and Mrs Tiggy-Wink bookmarks.

Jo Rooks, Learning and Participation Officer says: “Last year the nation celebrated the 150th anniversary of Beatrix Potter’s birth. Her timeless stories are still family favourites so it’s wonderful to bring them to life here at the museum. We’ve extended our popular egg hunt to last the entire Easter holidays, giving more families the opportunity to take part.”

Easter Egg Hunt

In addition to the main event over the Easter weekend, there is also an Easter Egg Hunt running throughout the Easter holidays. Visitors are invited to join Peter Rabbit, Mr Brock the Badger and Mrs Tiggy-Winkle to explore the museum’s beautiful 75 acre site from Saturday, 1st April to Monday, 17th April and to solve the clues laid out around the site. For their endeavours, they will receive an egg-citing reward!
